Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in the cheese, ham or sausage, onion, and bell pepper.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly golden.
  • Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

This casserole can be made ahead of time and refrigerated. Cover and bake when ready to serve, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
